CARING Is What We Do
STAY WELL AND STAY SAFE!
ME FIRST Respite Care has compassionate, screened and tested for the Covid-19, bonded, insured and certified Care Companions to come into the home and care for you or your loved one by providing the following services:
Personal Home Care provides support and assistance to individuals to remain safe, independent and engaged in leading enriching lives at home. It's often the kind of in-home help that allows people to avoid moving out of their homes into more expensive and less attractive settings. The services can include companionship and assistance with daily living (ADLs) which is routine activities that people do every day without needing assistance. The basic ADLs include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking) incontinence, light housekeeping, laundry and more.
Veteran Care Services assist eligible veterans or surviving spouses of veterans 65 years of age and older to receive up to $2,200 per month via Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefit. Aid and attendance is VA Benefit to be used to pay for personal home care services. Eligibility is determined in the privacy of your home at NO COST to the veteran or their family.
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR AID AND ATTENDANCE?
The veteran must have served "Active Duty" during a period of war.
The veteran/spouse must meet certain asset and income limits, and need assistance with daily living on a regular basis to stay independent at home.
Respite Care provides a break for the family caregiver. We understand that it's because of love that you are providing care, but it can also be stressful, overwhelming and exhausting if relief is not given when needed. ME FIRST Respite Care partners with the family caregiver to support you on this care giving journey and give you peace of mind. Family caregivers take a break from their care giving duties to maintain good health and take care of personal needs. Don't give up the things you enjoy because you are a caregiver. We encourage family caregivers to take a break because burnout is real and so are the consequences.
ME FIRST services are provided to individuals and their loved ones who may need a little help like a minimum of 4 hours or more 7-days-a-week to a live-in arrangement.
